ASTER GDEM Website will be out of service during the following period due to
maintenance.

- We released ASTER GDEM Version2. (October 17, 2011)

- From October 16, maximum 1000 tiles became downloadable.
If you try to download more than 100 tiles, the first 100 tiles are immediately downloaded.
Meanwhile, the 101st or later tiles are recorded in backlog, and prepared to be downloaded when system has enough resources.
You can check the status of your downloading on “Backlog reference”
page, and download prepared tiles from there.
Ready for Download Notice will be emailed to your registered email address.
Unless download is completed within 72 hours, this download will be cancelled automatically.
- Re-start of batch download for 100 tiles (August 27, 2009)
In case that the download session is open and you try to download 100 tiles, the general guideline for the shortest waiting time is as below:
1. Waiting time until start of download: 15 minutes
2. Time to download tiles: 40 minutes
If the server becomes busy with many download requirements, it takes more time to wait and download, and your download session could get cut off according to the circumstances.
In addition, please note that download will be blocked by Internet Explorer at the first download after moving into download screen if you use Internet Explorer.
